I am turning to this as a last resort. We have a blended family, My wife had two children when we married and I had two. We tried for years to have one of our own to no avail. Then by some mirical my wife became pregnant. Our family was over joyed. We began preparing for the little ones arival, growing more excited with the passing of everyday. Finally that day arrived. Seth was born. Things went crazy from that point. His lungs collapsed, so he could not breath. Then his heart quit beating. All of this happening in seconds from birth. They rushed him out of the room and began working on him to get things running. My wife is going nuts now and still being worked on by the nurses. I went with Seth after she begged me to. What I saw changed me forever. They were doing CPR on him and I never felt so helpless in all my life. The chest compressions were devistating but I knew he needed them. They finally got everything running and decided to move him by ambulance to Blank Childrens Hospital in Des Moines where he spent the better part of three months. He was actually one day over his due date weighed 7lbs 15 oz so everything should have been perfect. I am happy to report he is doing fine now. Just turned one weighs 28lbs and is developing on schedule with no effects from his birth. Truely a testiment to the docters and nurses of both Pella and Blank hospitals. We spent every minuet with him at Blank. Subsiquently got behind on all of our bills due to the expence and loss of work. We need some help to get caught up. I have a great job, just can't get over the hill. We are on the verge of loosing everything. I have a wife and five children that I don't want to let down. They all are the love of my life and it is devistating knowing I can't stop this train. Our credit is in the toilet after all of this and this is really my last chance.
